Welcome / Bienvenidos

Welcome to a new and exciting school year. I am thrilled you have decided to take Spanish and I am looking forward to meeting you. I hope you know that learning a world language is not something that is only "required" for graduation. Every day our world continues to develop and people continue to create  new technologies. As this happens we, as individuals, are expected to work, collaborate, and communicate with people from all over the world.

Over the course of this year you will be actively participating by using the language through different games, songs, projects, and uses of technology. Warning: There will be times when you feel you are back in Kindergarten - You will be learning some things that 4 and 5 year olds are learning in their native language. So expect to sing and dance. Some other times you will feel like a movie director in Hollywood - You will be creating videos, songs, etc.

If you attended "Meet your Teacher Day" on Wednesday August 11th, you received a packet with information. If you did not attend but one of your friends referred you to the Class Blog please download the Welcome Packet by clicking  here

To obtain more information about the course, please access the Class Syllabus by clicking here. I will provide a copy the 1st week of school. The last pages need to be signed and returned. If you misplace your syllabus feel free to print another copy.

Now that I've given you a little background about the course you can look at the following "Glogster" to learn a little bit about myself.

In Spanish class, you will be primarily working in groups. You are encouraged to discuss the content with your teammates and also to get to know them a little better. Spanish Class will be easier if you help each other. To earn a FREE Homework Pass please leave a comment below answering the following questions. The deadline is Friday August 20th by midnight.
